While reading a thread here, I noticed someone mentioned locktite and I did one of those Homer Simpson 'DOH' motions. Sorry about not posting this one earlier... This article is from "The Horse" motorcycle magazine.
Nah, just a great big old ford or chevy four door, two body trunk with a large 350 V8, auto tranny with VERY low miles. You know, "She only drove it to church on Sunday but we had to take the keys away from her now that's she's 95" type of thing...
Chuck,
The weird part of that story is that happened to my little sister. She gave our nephew an old 'granny car' about five years ago. They lived in Texas and he lived in Florida. He drove it back and used it for about a year. Then it was stolen.
Long story short, four years later, the...
I know this might sound odd, but just install a 12v battery on the trailer with one of those 'solargizers' and use that as your power source for the lights. Of course, you still have to step down the 'brake light signal' from the deuce, but that should be fairly easy.
When you AREN'T using...
ida34,
It was RandyLBarnes who had to post bond for his title here in Colorado. Boy am I glad I got mine from a second owner, so there was an actual title for the truck when I got it. Made it so much easier. jim
Brad900,
I have owned numerous trucks, none of them this large, but have on several occasions changed tire sizes. This required me to go to my local speedometer shop and they have always been able to get me within one or two mph of the correct speed. Worst the cost has ever been was $35...
WE HAVE A WINNAH!!!
For a mere $405 I just purchased four rims and four NEW retread Michelin XDY-1's. The previous owner said the tires alone were $1000 for four. The guy I'm going to get four more 22.5 wheels wants $75 per wheel, then have to add tire cost.
So this was an excellent deal...
Go back and check what this Russian Tank Clock just went for! I was personally astounded.

$105.50 (+9.50 s&h).... well, no russian tank clock for me at this price... But I have bookmarked it as a...
Bjorn,
THX for that picture. That's EXACTLY what mine looks like. So, obviously you want to put that plug in BEFORE fording operations commence.
I will look up the breather valve in PS. BTW, is this the valve made by Schrader? The reason I ask is because I have three spares. Just seemed...
I ran the deuce yesterday about 200 miles (10 MPG!) and found something odd.
I thought the front axle boots were leaking badly. The previous owner has even provided two new boots and two new axle seals.
Before running down the road I did two things. First, I checked the amount of gear oil in...
EKUgrad,
First, about the only requirement of the board is for you to list your location in your signature. If you need help into doing so, let us know.
I have seen this particular picture before. If you wanted to pick up a deuce and modify it, there are several things that this vehicle has...
DrFoster is working on getting me some out of an aircraft. I think. If he's not successful, then I guess I will just go out and buy some. I HATE doing that.
I'd much rather recycle some older gauges from some other military application. We will see. And I GOTTA GET one of those 'Russian...
How about this one at Ft. Carson? $156 for a 105A2. OK, OK, it doesn't have wheels or tires. But that's minor, right?

Dave,
Welcome! I too hung around here until I got lucky enough to purchase my deuce. What an interesting world of BIG GREEN IRON!
And the people I've met and talked to here remind me of the comraderie that USED to be standard in Harley Owner Groups. Now the HOG chapters are all about money...
Bjorn,
I gotta tell you I JUST LOVE your clock. Where did you find that? Is it hooked into the trucks electronics? And no offense, but your truck is begining to LOOK like it's wiring belongs in an airplane instead of a truck. WAY KEWL!
Well, I just HAD to report this. Again, I've ONLY owned this truck for a little under two weeks. I start it up every morning and let it run for about twenty minutes, or until it appears to be running 'smoothly'
FOR THE FIRST TIME, she started on the FIRST push of the start button. I will...
Why is it that the inside cab wall of your truck looks more confusing than what's under the hood?
Love the setup though. All your comm gear in one place. Did you just remove that seat entirely or replace it with a single or ... ?
denisek5935,
Can you take a picture of a 'cage' for changing tires. I've ALWAYS wanted to see one. I always assumed a chain link enclosure like a tool room type of set up. But have never actually seen one. jim
