Wick,
Thx. It was way easy. Just me, my K&N filter and my box cutter. Worked great. Took three tries to get it to fit properly. First was without mods. The second was with the bottom cut out. The final install was with the bottom cut out AND the top cut down. It just slid right in place...
Well, I'm NOT trying to start ANYTHING. The only reason I started this thread is because this is WHAT I'm doing. That's all. AS PROMISED, here are several pix.
Picture 1 is the first hint that something's different in my stock air cannister. Picture 2 show how and where the K&N filter...
I LIKEY! And the girl needs a new set of shoes...
I have contacted the seller and he is in my area. I'll let you folks know.
So I could score a set of four wheels and tires and then go get another set of four wheels and just add the same retreaded tires and I'd have the first set.
That...
Mike,
Take a look at the picture with the copper line run up and over the air vent. He has it screened off and it APPEARS he uses a cable to open it. Instant outside air.
denisek5935,
Just in case no one else said it, WELCOME...
Actually, I'm cheap. And I don't want the lock rings (split rings or whatever they are called), given it's dangerous to fix a flat without a 'cage'. So that means that I can't fix a flat or have it fixed when I'm on the road (not many...
PICTURES! I WANT PICTURES! What type of tires did you go with? Randy had a mud/snow type of tire on the one he showed us.
I'm trying to decide what type of rubber now that I've found the tires.
denisek5935,
Thanks so much. Here they are:
8570687 - I called it the Ft lever 5a
8001635 - I called it the Lrg button 2a
Bendix 7722238E - this is the three pined cable (note it COULD be 7122238E)
Finally I have two motors (?), about 3 1/4 inches across, a shaft out one end with two wires...
Bob,
Thanks. According the to guy I spoke with, he said he could get more. I told him there were four of us in the 'greater Metro area' that would probably want a set. I told him to let me talk to you, Robert and Randy and I would get back with him.
I'm going to pick up a set of eight. He...
OK, aside from my deuce, Jeff Sabo also threw in a lot of kewl stuff.
I have LOADS of dipsticks (engine I think) so if anyone wants one, let me know.
I also got several wiring harnesses that I will have to decide what to keep and what to get rid of.
FINALLY here are several parts that I don't...
For a 'tire crane' I figured I could fab up the crane part and then just add this:

A 2000 lb electric winch with a nice hand control on sale for $45.99. Mount it in the front of the bed in the tool boox. Just add a 12...
PSAM,
As promised - The first picture is the cab heater controls to the lower left of the steering wheel. The second picture is of the air shift lever mounted in the location you were asking about. I concur that it looks like a heater control bracket. But hey, what do I KNOW...
My air shift front axle switch is LOCATED in that position, but it has a lever you throw from left to right and a light mounted under it comes on when engaged. That DOES look like my heat control panel though. I do love that sound when switching the air shift off. That 'swisssh' type noise of...
Shadow,
I see you are in Clear Rapids, Iowa. You will want to put that in your signature, as it's one of the few requirements here.
And ask all the questions you can. THESE FOLKS ARE GREAT at answering them.
As I have the multi diesel, I can't answer from a deuce standpoint, but it sounds to...
