    M1070 recovery

Alright guys, million dollar question before I get to a tire shop. What is the largest commercial tire I can safely put on my stock wheels? I would search but it is kinda hard to type and drive, well actually illegal for cdl holders.

    M1070 recovery

True I wouldn't tow it the complete trip but I could tow it enough to get to a safer spot then the side of the road. Also if I had flown I would t have any of my tools. I appreciate the advice. Just remember, this isn't my first rodeo in these trucks, I have thousands of miles behind 931s...

    M1070 recovery

So I'm helping another member recover his 1070 from bliss to fl. So far the trip has been great, averaging 45 and pissing off drivers because they can't read the reflective slow vehicle sign or see the flashing amber lights. So about 9 miles out of lake Charles I hear a thud. I pull off to...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Yeah I know the feeling, but if you have to go the bulk route they make a drum pump that screws into the big bung on the lid.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Yeah, you realize when you do your first fluid change it's just better to buy a 55 gallon drum of the oil and an empty one to put the waste in.

    CB Tutorial

Do not recommend running off rear battery. Did it by accident in my contact truck and ended up putting 24v into my ham radio via grounding from the antenna. Luckily I caught it in time and didn't mess it up to terribly bad. Unless you run a completely ground isolated system, run it off the...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Ha Ha I know... Took all the kids for a ride this afternoon. All kids were in a booster, for the littlest the wife rode with to ensure she stayed where she needed to.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

It'll buff out, lol We passed a tanker on fire on Tampa heading from Baghdad to Anaconda every day. It must have been burning for several weeks.

    Recovery Anchors?!?

You would be surprised of how much a small tree will provide a good anchor. The trees I used to pull myself out were only about 4 inches around. I thought for sure they wouldn't hold. Here is my thread on my encounter with soft mud and getting myself out. This goes to the video of me finally...
