I got the Jeep for $450. My friend is gonna work on it for me. Probably needs new timing gear. We are gonna get it running and try it out then put the axles on the bottom of the springs and swampers then try to restore the body this winter. It is my wifes runabout, but she says we can paint it...

when the M135 pulled on it the day of the bog he started to rip the bumper off the frame so they stopped.
a bulldozer couldn't get it out, but the M108 did
are the shafts of these the same? are any parts interchangable? I know a guy who needs some new shafts. Do they make alloy shafts for the GMC?

that truck is a LWB deuce chasis. He moved the middle axle forward so that he could fit the 16.00-20 michelin tires [(on stock deuce rims)useing 11.00-20 tubes] on with no rub. He has a 460 ford with auto trans and t-case hooked up to the stock deuce t-case. He has a locker in the front, but...
I need to put in another t-case to get some more gears. when I got in the thick deep mud I couldn't get enough wheel speed to clean the wheels. Other than that it went through everyting else pretty good.
