the smaller snatch blocks sometimes talk about various sizes all the bigger ones seem to have one size. I like that warn block, but it says 7/16 cable. isn't the M35 winch 1/2 cable?
the snatch block for a M543A2 is a 8 inch single sheave, 5/8 rope, 10ton working load.
I don't understand how they can use that on a winch rated for 10ton. Wouldn't they need a block that rates at 20ton? twice what the winch will do. 20ton is whats gonna be on the block hook. and 10 ton on each...
I have a CAT 3408 and the fuel pump is leaking. Its not leaking from an external seal, it needs to be rebuilt. I am told that this is going to be very exspensive ($1000-1500). Anyone know of any cheaper alternatives for me? Or have some good advice?
My M810 has a mechanical oil gage(it had a cummins). I'm using it with the gasser. I bought a VDO vision seres tach and Mech. temp gauge and the tach has a set up for use on diesel engines by hooking to the alternator.
I have a M1008 w/bad engine so I decided to put a SB 350 in it. The torque converter would not bolt up to the flex plate of the 350. I don't think the flex plate would bolt to the 350.
So does that mean the Olds and Chevy flexplate is different?
