    M931 A1 Front Winch Installation

Were winches ever a factory item for the M931s? I'm not sure, but it would be neat to see a one-off mod like that!

    M920's on GL

BIG IRON, man. I'm sure the rarity of those in civvy hands drove the price way up.

    Thank you to Papabear

PB sounds like a great guy, had many good conversations with him in chat. Hope to meet him one day....

    I am back too.

Last 880 I saw on GL was over 2 years back, out of Ft. Meade. It had a maintenance body on it, and it looked WELL USED. GSA and private sales are the way to go if you want an 880. You are going to have to check on them, though - they are all over 30 years old, and Dodge had a problem with...

    what a mess

Agreed - plus, since the front end is like this, you know why they surplussed it out. The rest of the rig is probably cherry. Good find, not too many get these SEEs.

    WTB-whiffle tree+ towbar for wrecker

I think the medium towbar was a BII for the wrecker. The deuces never carried towbars. Does anyone know if the wreckers carried both a medium and heavy?

    Running Moonshine???

Diesel is $2 a gallon, why bother? Course, it might jump up again, it's worth it to find alternates. I still stay WMO is your best bet....

    WTB-whiffle tree+ towbar for wrecker

What size towbar you need, the medium or the large? TNJ Murray has wiffle trees for $200. They are expensive, because he needs them for his 816 wrecker contract for overseas sales.

    Project TOW mule progress

Awesome looking mule, Nick! You were right, the TOW pedestal on the mule is much different from the ones that Murray had. Found a dummy tube yet for the launcher?

    m35a2 parts running out!!!!!!!!!

I have a feeling that deuce parts will be coming out of GL for many, many years. The military was still getting rid of WWII era parts in the 1980s, that had been stored away for decades after the vehicles were retired.

    WTB-winch chains/hooks

This isn't retirement - just have free time to go places that I didn't have when I was employed. Up side is I get to play with green iron more! Down side is the bills are getting harder to get paid. avengeusa - I'm not sure, I think if I ask nicely and get a handful of them, maybe $25...

What do you think this is?

There is a similar condition one near here in really crappy shape I am going to offer $200, only for the sake of parting out to save the parts. This one you show isn't a rarity, so the price he is asking is laughable. As in, ask him how much he wants, he tells you, and you laugh in his face...

    Another trip to TNJ Murray's

Looking forward to chilled adult beverages! :grd: Just to let others know, if you want anything brought to Aberdeen I will be going back here before then, I can pick something up. I don't wanna go here as often as I do Colemans, the distance is quite a bit further and the traffic getting to...

    WTB-winch chains/hooks

Going back to Colemans next Friday, I know he has a few and they are pretty cheap there. Want me to pick a few up?

    Another trip to TNJ Murray's

Last lot of pics - I saved the best for last. I wanted to buy this myself, but with being out of a job and not really having time to play with it in the first place, I am posting my find here to try and find a worthy home. M756 pipeline deuce remains. Includes the axles, the bed (no wood)...

    Another trip to TNJ Murray's

Few more. M818 tool boxes/spare tire brackets with hoses. Not sure what the jacks are. The WWII director's trailer has been in the yard since the 1960s, deserves a good home. He wanted $500 for the trailer.

    Another trip to TNJ Murray's

More pics. The mule deck is just that, the deck. He wanted $200 for it, I was tempted to save it, but I decided not to. Perhaps the next yard-hopper will snag it.

    Another trip to TNJ Murray's

Darn, I'm tired - 10 hours on the road today. 4 going, and 6 coming back (Friday afternoon traffic around DC beltway sucks!) Good weather, a little cold, but saw a lot of green iron today in the weeds at TNJ. John Murray is hard to get ahold of, but a great guy to deal with. Even let me take...

11.00x16 XL Michelins in DC area

Saw these on CL today - $200 a piece, seems to be the going rate. Hard to find now. Michelins 11.00x16 xls

    Albany, GA to Virginia

Maybe there is someone in the East Coast Convoy that is coming up from GA area, and can tow it up the I-95 corridor?
