Yes, I have to agree that preliminary masurements show that there may be clearance issues with the brake componets.
I've also thought about a front mounted pump. The clearance is pretty tight for something as big as a pump until you get to the front bumper though.
It was just one of my "hair...
I haven't driven a 915A1 but I have driven a civilain truck with a auto that acted like that. To be honest, I'd just as soon have a stick if I constantly have to be fooling with the throttle and the shifter to make it shift right.
I guess it could be that I'm just not used to driving a auto...
I have never torqued my lugnuts with a torque wrench. I've just tightened enough of them to know when enough is enough. One thing to think about when you are hammering away on them with a 1" impact, are you getting them so tight that you're not going to be able to remove them (on the side of the...
Gerhard, I'd like to pick your brain on this subject.
I'm installing a dump on a M35A2 for my uncle. I've got the PTO disassembled. I've been looking at all the parts and think I may have come up with a way to flip the output. What I've came up with is taking the output shaft and turning it...
I'm tall with long legs. I could ues a little more room but I get by. The higher the seat, the better for me. That way I don't hit myself in the chest with my knees when I push the pedals. I'm very thin for my height so I don't have a problem with the steering wheel but I can see where people...
That depends on what the other numbers are. All of the very early trucks I've seen had a "M" in front of the VIN. Later trucks had a lot number before the sequence number and the number went back to zero when the lot number changed.
Still, nopics
I picked up two M105 trailers at Redstone last week for the sole purpose of the axles. I've got a few homemade trailer plans in the works myself. I've pretty much gathered all the steel I need and all I needed was a couple of axles. After pricing new axles, I figured I couldn't...
I found this while looking for some used aircraft tires for farm equipment. Looks like they've got a bunch of 14.00-20s. They are Genesco Tires. They have locations in AL, TX, and CA. I have no idea what they are asking for them but they have a bunch.
Gimpy, I've got one that I may be willing to do some trading on if you're ever down my way . It was mounted in the back of my M715 when I got it but it wasn't fastened very well to the bed. I took it out and it's just been sitting in the barn ever since.
The hinge screws are accually threaded into a steel plate that is behind the cab sheet metal. This makes it almost impossible to apply heat where it's needed with the hinge in place.
I had trouble removing the hinge screws awhile back. If it doesn't want to come free, you're better off to cut...
I've seen some tough ones but I've always been able to remove all the pins I've tried. The trick is heat.
What I do is heat the hinge with a torch while I've got a wrench on the head holding pressure on it (but not enough to break it or round the head off). When it gets hot enough you'll get a...
