The one side is only expensive because, in there infinite wisdom they made it part of the actual tie-rod instead of a replacable end. you would be better to get a beefier tie-rod at that point if you plan to do offroading. you can get a "rockrod" for ~$150 as...
the turbo400 does not have a locking TC, your thinking of the 700r4, to sdjust the shift points you adjust the thing on the side of the injector pump that has the vacuum lines attached to it.

and all of the drivetrain and suspension is the same as the K30, with the exception of the rear springs (they seem heavier than any civilian option).
the only other differences are with the Glow Plug...
the reason for not allowing the swampers, is mainly do to the weight of the humvee. the swampers are only a Class C or D rated tire. That is not near what is needed for a humvee, let alone one that has be up-armored.
I'll bet that the governer is stuck at WOT, you will nee to open the cover on the pump and make sure the linkage is moving inside when you move the pedal.
if he went straight to the master cylinder and they wont hook up, there is something in the line or still air.
I would re-bleed the system again. he is still using dot 5 fluid, correct? If he mixed in dot 3, I'll bet he has some nice looking goo in the system (ask me how I found that one out...

I prefer the BDS twin shock kit, it mounts both on the drivers side, one below the other. you can buy just the mounting kit for around $35 new at an offroad shop.
