yes, sorry for the misinformation, I have always heard the aux. filters called bypass filters and assumed that it was just the term used to describe them. I'm much better with electronics.

RE: fittings... The sampler that's in the truck is starting to leak, I am going to remove it and then attach the hose from the engine to the feed side of the bypass filter and then run a new hose from the filter to the hard line on the radiator.

you mean the 24v starter, the injector pump is the same, as far as I know.
