The M56 was a chassis version of the M37, looks like they dropped a -37 bed on it and didn't care about the gap. It could also have been a maintenance bodied truck as well.
I just posted a listing on uship.com and the average bid came back at $6 a loaded mile for a 160 mile trip. No thanks, I'll haul it myself with a towbar.

Mine is State Farm, runs about $149 for 6 months in VA, just liability. Older vehicles like the deuce State Farm doesn't really give comprehensive on.

The low bid of $150 doesn't really matter for most trailers and vehicles, they always go higher than that. As for recommendations, INSPECT INSPECT INSPECT. Or have someone do it for you. A couple times I had other Steel Soldiers look at things, and many thanks to FerroEquinologist, BKubu, and...
Just to let ya'll know, they routinely sell in Britain for $4K to $10K, and in this country for $10K to $20K. Try touching a M113 or M114 for that money, you'll get a bombed out shell.
My manual, 9-2320-361-20-1, says to use "4 amp" fuzes. What the difference between 2 amp and 4 amp? (if you answer 2 amps, I'm gonna break a beer bottle over your head next time I see you)
British made FV-432. They were gas or diesel powered, most have been surplused out by now. They are popular with US collectors, mainly because they are relatively cheap, and spares are common in Britain for them.
