Perhaps the date on the tag says "82" for the assembly year. Parts made in 1981, put together in 1982, I could see that.

Just letting you know, there is a rare radio variant of the M43 ambulance at Colemans Surplus down in the bottom of the yard. Very rusty, but there are a lot of good parts left, like axles, wheels, front steering components, fenders are good, hood, doors, a few engine parts, etc. Price I think...

RE: Will the Deuce pull a 40 I've seen the bill the pros charge to move stuff. Sometimes it's not a good deal at all. I'd rather spend time sitting in a deuce pulling a trailer than spend a couple grand paying two Mexicans to haul my stuff. It may take more time, but if he can do it in one...

That's a really cool collection of rigs you got there! Most of us would only dream of owning a set that big. What's that HUGE red box on the back of the left-most truck?

Prefer date of August. Less going on for me. If the M725 is too big, I'll bring a smaller rig to play in, like a CUCV or a M37 or M38. I kinda dig the flatfender idea, though...

There are so many of these deuces in service still, both in ARNG and in foreign governments, not to mention all the rigs in service in state and local governments, fire stations, and the tens of thousands that are still soldiering on in civvy duty on our farms and ranches, that I don't think...

Just to make a point, sometimes foreign governments get contracts on older vehicle upgrades that Uncle Sam doesn't get. Perhaps there is an A4 variant, made for another army....
