M1008 3 color ARMY NG camo.

I'm not sure they use stencils for the camo jobs, only for the lettering and stars. Most times I have seen the vehicle being divided up with a grease pencil into sections according to the manual on camo patterns, and sprayed in order of "1", "2", and "3" ("4" where applicable).

Couple of Pics from Camp Roberts

Wish M48s like that one in the pic were more common in collector hands. Quite a large chunk of iron, I'd love to have it in my local parade!

    Large Towbar?

RE: Re: RE: Towing I think the large is a little overkill for a deuce, but if it works for large MVs, it'll work for anything, I guess.

M1028A1 With M887 Contract Maint. Body

I have seen these amalga-machines every once in a while with M880 parts and M1008 series parts. There's a M880 with the maintenance body up at Colemans surplus in PA with a welded-on front bumper and brushguard off a M1009, done at the depot. Your rig, Towerguy, looks like a great work rig and...

AH HA HA HA HA HA!!!! Bet you want those rims on a gold-plated pallet too, doncha? Wait! Lemme look in my shed! They're in there right behind the 5-gallon pail of elbow grease, and the 500-foot hank of flight line! No seriously, you're gonna need a LOT of luck finding those. A bunch of use...

    combat rims in M34

Those are really neat looking rims. Just curious, why did they call them "combat rims"? They can't provide much more bulletproof protection than the standard ones do, and the tire can still be shot out...

Improving the gas mileage of the M-880 series

So replacing the standard cast iron exhaust manifold with tubed headers would help it breathe? I thought in a single-pipe exhaust system, the muffler and catalytic are the limiting factor in the exhaust efficiency of the vehicle. Would replacing the stock carb help in getting the gas mileage...

Improving the gas mileage of the M-880 series

We all know the 318cid of the Dodge M880 series is a gas guzzler, a result of 1970s technology, but also of fulltime 4wd, locking hubs etc. Most owners of M880s get 12mpg on a REALLY good day, perhaps as low as 8 mpg on a bad day. Was interested to hear any ideas you all have for increasing...

    Working with lead, in bodywork

Hole is about 1 inch from the weatherstrip, and the holes are about 5/8 diameter from the ladder rack bolts. A rivet would be too small.
