Connected my MEP-803A the proper way as my home standby generator... Install pics...

Great thread. Really considering picking up a MEP-802 or MEP-803 as a standby generator for the house if I can pick up a decent running unit at local auction. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Pow'R Gard 30D36R 3kW Diesel Generator

Old thread I know. Picked up a Pow'r Gard 30D36R on auction with 50hrs on it. Started right up! Need replacement key/switch. It’s broken off in the run position. Need a replacement battery but have not found a model #/spec to cross reference. Need a wheel kit. Baldor serms to have...

    Plan B hard top

I have the 4 man Plan B hard top. Nice quality product. It has been challenging to get an effective rain seal on the rear panel to the bed though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Warn 8274 Winch @ HMMWV

I have an 8274 winch in good running order. Curious if anyone has successfully adapted one to the HMMWV. If so, I might consider the 24V motor/solenoid conversion and give it a go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Replaced CDR breather tube, PO used an incorrect hose that collapsed under vacuum. Re-sealed Plan B 4 man rear panel. Drilled (6) 10-32 retaining screws at the bottom of the panel to keep vibration/movement from blowing out the seal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Fabricated full length x door hinge reinforcements. Adds some additional torsional rigidity to the doors in this area. Still way too much flex in the door structure for my sensibilities. Shimmed the window rollers a tad with washers to take up some of the free play left/right and associated...

    Valve cover TSM Q

Thanks. I hear bending the injector lines is a bad idea. Any issues with IP afterwards? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Valve cover TSM Q

Both are leaking and appear to be using RTV. TSM calls for removal of injector lines and manifold to service. I was hoping to avoid manifold removal. Possible? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

X-Door rivet replacement project. All four doors have some or all of the window frame rivets loose. Using 3/16” 1/2” long structural rivets from Fastenal. Rhino-liner is a real PITA to remove for such service. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    X-Door rivet replacement

Ok, made good progress this evening. I was able to razor-knife enough material off the rivet heads to drill them out and replace. At least (8) of the rivets were demonstrably loose toward the top and bottom of the window frame brackets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Replacing worn rivets that connect the door window frame to the x door Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    X-Door rivet replacement

Solid rivets look attractive from a strength perspective as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
