OK, so I actually did find out said truck was apparently a M109 shop van that had the box removed and a tank installed. Makes much more sense now. As far as M49s, my first time ever driving a manual transmission was trying to roll-start a M49 with bad batteries. It was an interesting intro...

That's my concern too...legality with that.

I've thought about that too, owning such a unit already. Especially in a multifuel Deuce. However, I'd like something a little more permanent.

If I did one, I'd probably do it under the dash, or mounted to the cab top (hard top of course). Standard aftermarket car unit...but that's just me.

I've also been curious about doing this too...

Right...I can see why. Chances are you won't be rear-ended by a large truck in that case anyway, more likely a small car.
