    My newest turd: Jeepsinker's M49A2

OK, so I actually did find out said truck was apparently a M109 shop van that had the box removed and a tank installed. Makes much more sense now. As far as M49s, my first time ever driving a manual transmission was trying to roll-start a M49 with bad batteries. It was an interesting intro...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Fine looking truck there, in good shape! Congrats! New daily driver?

    91 m923a2

That's good to hear. Sitting is these trucks' worst enemy...I've considered a 923A2 myself, as a daily driver...

Looks like you got a good one! Seeing as it's parked on the street, is she a daily driver?

    Uses for Deuces

It always makes me laugh when people ask "Why would you want one of those?". Trucks of 10,000 uses!

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Exactly what these trucks are good at/best suited for! (At least IMHO). Good looking truck, too!

    M923 radio

I've thought something like the above pic myself...

    M923 radio

That's my concern too...legality with that.
  15. 71DeuceAK

    M923 radio

I've thought about that too, owning such a unit already. Especially in a multifuel Deuce. However, I'd like something a little more permanent.

    M923 radio

If I did one, I'd probably do it under the dash, or mounted to the cab top (hard top of course). Standard aftermarket car unit...but that's just me.

    M923 radio

I've also been curious about doing this too...

Awesome, a 927 huh? Do post pics and recovery stories!

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

It happens...owning a 5 ton has a learning curve I suppose...including NOT LEAVING THE BATTERY SWITCH ON!

    m35 brakes

Right...I can see why. Chances are you won't be rear-ended by a large truck in that case anyway, more likely a small car.
