Is it the kind that takes a battery or is it digital/analog?
The one on the right is from HF but you can get them free with a coupon. Even the cheapest will work for your issue.

This is twice (that I know of) in the last week were something was damaged because of not reading the TM first. I wonder why we emphasize reading the manuals.
Do both heads and everything already said and not to disagree with Jonathan but use a thread chaser instead of a tap to clean the threads out. A tap will remove material. This was covered last month in another thread.
