The input-shaft bearing retainer could be loose(bolts).

You will never get cheap insurance for a daily driver as a new driver(aka, teenager). You will not qualify for classic/historic insurance for a daily driver or as a youth. Call you insurance agent(or your parent's) to get your info. Not a forum.

It's the diagnostic tool that plugs into the large round cannon plug under the dash(center). That wire you refrenced, is the tachometer feed to the tach buffer, that is read by an ice/ste unit.

You do not need it, unless you have the ICE/STE unit to diagnose your truck with.
