    Hello everyone, new here.

If you were looking in PA and didn't flinch at the price, it's highly unlikely that RWH's price will shock you... RWH is trying to comply with the "no sales in the open forum" rules. None of my business... but....

    Freight Shipping

Your desired destination is the freight terminal nearest you, then you go there and pick it up. When getting freight quotes, selecting "terminal" should be one of the options. Usually it saves like $100...

    Building Slave Cable

If you don't already have the materials, I can probably make you a set for less than you can make them yourself, especially if you're buying tools to do it with....

    Building Slave Cable

I use a hydraulic crimper followed by heat shrink. I usually use the tinned copper lugs although I doubt there's really any meaningful difference over bare copper. The issued cables are 2/0 fine stranded copper. I've made them both heavier and lighter than that, but 2/0 is about all you're...

    84 Blazer "Thankful I'm alive"

IIRC, the M1009 is rated to tow 1200lbs with a 100lb tongue weight. Travel trailers are parachutes, much more unstable than smaller denser loads of higher weight. A 28' travel trailer weighs more than 7000lbs. I frequently tow a travel trailer (not with a CUCV). Every time a tractor...

    M923 Hydraulics?

You've got a navy or marine truck. They had the wet kits installed even when the winch wasn't present.

    MEP802 Short

I haven't. I did nothing more than check fluids and slave it from the hmmwv and check power at the convenience outlets. All was fine (it was set to 208v 3 phase). This was the 3rd of three sets. After the other two were tested and sold, I turned my attention to this one with the results posted...

    MEP802 Short

Today it has new symptoms. Bogging down severely with the short circuit light illuminated in either of the single phase positions if the position is reached by turning the switch clockwise. But I can turn it counterclockwise from the far right position to the middle position and it runs...

No breakers tripping. I'll pull the cover off and eyeball it tomorrow evening and report back.

    MEP802 Short

I'm absolutely certain it's something that's only involved when 120/240v is selected, and absolutely certain that the bogging down is caused by overload. You can see the load gauge in pic 1 showing it's completely unloaded. Pic 1 is when 208v 3phase is selected and it's running well. In pic...

    MEP802 Short

I read through the troubleshooting portion of the -10 and didn't see this explained. Here's what I've got: MEP802 340hrs , runs fine when set to 208 3phase. Runs fine when set to 120v single phase. Convenience outlets work fine in both positions. No fault lights. Gauges wnl. Copious black...

    Steering towed rig

Having flat towed everything from 5ton trucks to M1009s, total mileage in the tens of thousands, I can safely say it's desirable for the steering on the towed vehicle to be able to turn passively to follow the tow vehicle. Otherwise you scrub the tires sideways at the slightest turn. I once...

Shipping a M35A2 from Indiana to Wyoming

Plan the trip in detail and drive it! I've done LA to AZ and AZ to KS and a bunch of other long trips in deuces. 500miles a day is plenty. Or if you're dead set on hauling it, a 1ton pickup and gooseneck trailer is appropriate for the task.
