Personally I would not do it with any Deuce. We are talking about live cargo with an expiration date on it. One simple breakdown could jeopardize the entire cargo, especially if it is out in the middle of no where. I would fly out and do a one-way rental of a Ryder truck and be done with it...

If it were me (and I have recovered a few 105s) I'd just hook up to it and bring it home the way the lunette is now. Take the cover off to improve aerodynamics and gas mileage but I wouldn't worry about the lunette until you get it home. Then you can soak with PB Blaster a few days and then try.

No CDL needed for the Deuce. You can search the site for all the threads about the difference between an M35A2 and A3. Want something bigger, move up to a 5-ton. Should not be much of a problem with the DMV if you get all your paperwork when you buy the truck.

Drive the wrecker out and go through the 923 and if it's safe drive it home. If you don't know enough about it to know then pull the axles and tow it back.

Okay, I'll bite, what height is the door? I run my trucks and a backhoe in and out mine and don't put the boom down on the hoe. My 5-ton 818 will go into my barn as well.
