    Found pieces of metal in tansfercase, it's a shame because i was going to sell it

    I'm sure the parts that chewed those parts up are now also damaged , metal dosen't grind up metal without damage . The tranfer case is in need of repair , until you actually take it apart you won't know what it needs . Like was posted above you either need to fix it or price for a known transfer...

    Go to your local truck parts store . One bottle should last you the winter. You don't want to use except when really needed. Edit ; the bigger truckstops in your area should have them also.

    I was refering to the shorter driveshaft binding up with the tandems intact , that it is likely to bind . You can do just about anything you want to a bobber , it's basicly just a big pickup with no travel to the axles .

    With a bobber you no longer have the axle travel of the tandems , plus most bobbers lenghten the driveshaft. When moving the transfer case back and shortening the driveshaft , without limiting axle travel , it could cause the driveshaft to bind up .

    It is normal unless you have lock-out hubs , the axels are splined to the hub . If the axel turns it turns the drive shaft .

    There is alot of disscission of property owners rights being taken away by the HOA , this really isn't true . The original developer exercised his property owners rights when he devoloped the property and created the HOA . At the time he did this some of the neighbors probably felt there rights...
