Oh, this is easy. Using basic math skills, I determined you simply need to splice each of the 7 wires from the one cord, to 1.714 of the wires on the other cord (with 12 wires).
Yeah, that should work.
Kenny, I love that truck! I thought of you today while using it... Actually, you and several other members who've helped me get it. No heater in the crane operators seat, yet.
One other nice memory/thought today was when in conversation, Dave Pozi came up. He is missed but not forgotten...
I was recently pleasantly surprised to read a thread and see we had a(newish)member within 25 miles of me, so I figured I must meet him(Farmer73, Dave).
After a quick phone call, I realised I could not only meet him, I could help him as well.
He has an M818 that he wanted to install an M817...
I did a similar add on. I could not even put my trailer's empty weight on the ball with out the bumper bending . My trailer weighs 2800 empty. Its a dual axle, 18' trailer.
I only use it for my little boat trailer now.
You can also pull start it. You need to crank in the fuel shutoff override.
Any way you start it, I'd check the output/battery voltage once it's running. Anything over 28 volts, can be a problem.
They do not dump fuel into the base. Think about this.
It would have to fill the turbo housing to the shaft level, to leak into the oil. That would mean that the steel pipe would have to be half full at the bottom. This would be about 1/2 a gallon of fuel. You think you would not notice...
