What vehicle do you have? When you got your vehicle, was one alt missing or was it converted to 12volts and now only needs one alt? When you replaced the alt, did everything work properly, until the new alt died?

You need to make up your mind, if you want to sell it or keep it. Fix it before you sell or if you keep it. If your not a good mechanic, buy a rebuilt and swap it in.
