I admit, you got me there: - We got to check the Rules of Engagement I guess.

Modern Russian Army in the photos.

This is unusual; check this out: North Korean forces used the Po-2 in a similar role during the Korean War. A significant number of Po-2s were fielded by the Korean People's Air Force, inflicting serious damage during night raids on United Nations bases.[9] During one such attack, a lone Po-2...

Modern Russian Army in the photos.

Here's the detail (Wikipedia), and I think it's documented: With 36,183 examples of the Il-2 produced during the war, and in combination with its successor, the Ilyushin Il-10, a total of 42,330[4] were built, making it the single most produced military aircraft design in aviation history, as...

    Survival 109 build

I love the MagDrills: - I don't think I could ever justify the cost of buying one. - But when you need them, nothing else will do. I take my work to a machine shop and pay them whatever lump sum we negotiate when I need MagDrill work done. I can afford that.

    Uses for Deuces

No, I'm not. But i had a buddy I played ice hockey with as a kid who was BIG time into the Conan comic books. They were scattered all over his house. Drove his mom nuts. So some of that rubbed off on me you might say!

    Memorial Day Parade Monday 5/30

The Babe and BART story is reminding me of the story about Hanna Reitsch and her test piloting of the German Gigant glider of WWII. But that would be a hijack. Never mind. Another time.

    1952 M135 W/Winch

I'm on the Eastwood mailing list, and typically pick up something from their catalog every 6 months or so. It's good quality product. Here's their link http://www.eastwood.com/

    "Rescued" M816 Wrecker

I bet that new owner is one happy camper. It's hard not to like a wrecker. Does it sort of feel like sending your own child out into the world?

Here's a video of something called tinning, which if I remember from a roofer i used to work with, might be close to the same thing as "leading". It's kind long (I didn't check out the whole thing): https://youtu.be/J0X6E5HuOd4

    "Good times!" That's pretty funny.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Does it get "hairy" at all driving the water tanks around (like do they ever start sloshing on you)?

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

You're talking the spiral design aren't you? I'm guessing that they're about the best, and Irwin is usually a safe bet (but things change). This kind?

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

It absolutely stinks when you pay somebody to do things right, and discover that they didn't. How did you find out it wasn't replaced (I mean once it was all closed up and all)?

    1952 M135 W/Winch

My hat is off to the man, whatever became of him. There are geniuses hiding among us that don't get recognition (just the way it is), and he would be one of them. That BMW story is great!
