Clinto is the guy to talk to about paint. He did mopar restoration before getting into MVs.
Here's what I want from paint -
1) prevent corrosion
2) resist scratching and other mechanical damage
3) resist fading
4) cosmetic similarity to CARC
5) ease of application
Believe it or not, the...
Like others, I strongly suspect the brakes were caged.
I speculate the guy jumped in and took off before there was sufficient air pressure, and when he didn't get the pedal response he expected, he pumped the brakes and dumped what little air he had.
This is of course blatant speculation...
Tom is a good guy! He came by to pick up the free WMO today and stayed around to help me move out of the house in MO.
This was above and beyond any reasonable expectations. I owe him big time...
No offense was intended.
Jumping to conclusions = forming opinions based on incomplete information = simply the nature of the internet, because information is particularly limited.
I still don't think it'll push as much as it'll pull. Compression is different than tension. Assuming an...
Hey, I draw the same conclusions you guys do....
I'm under the impression (perhaps wrongly) that Nomadic is inexperienced. My point was "these are the factors that need to be considered when contemplating something like this.." My goal was to teach thought process...
The limit isn't the driveline. The limit will be the amount of force it takes to permanently deform whichever part comes in contact for pushing.
When towing, we already have numbers for what the tow point will tolerate.
Pushing is going to be a one off, depending on surface area in contact...
A passenger side hatch, compatible with the LWS would be nice...
At the point you're under $1k you've underpriced NOS hardtops by a decent margin, even at auction prices.
Looks like exhaust manifolds to me. They appear to be aluminum. I suspect that they may go to a generator or something similar which is why I am posting them here.
So I've scaled back the level of ambition for this thing. The toolboxes on the fenders interfere with the access panels on the welder.
I'm going to go with the table on the rear deck behind the welder, with integrated cable holders. And a couple of ammo cans for rod. Everything else is going...
I'm confused as to how a dashcam would resolve this issue. We've got a staged accident that includes everything but the guy's truck. Staged on a different day, when he's 2000 miles away.
Just what video is he supposed to show to exonerate himself?
You're 120 miles from me. Feel free to come put hands and eyes on mine.
I've got nothing to sell at the moment.
Here's a tru-ism: you're going to be into it somewhere around $10k, either upfront in a turnkey vehicle or you will be by the time you get done with it. (Give or take a bit)
What...
Where in KS?
I'm about an hour north of Ft Riley. I've got mounted tires cheap - $150 for Michelin XZLs, datestamp 2003 70% tread or so. You want at least one spare with you, and preferably more.
If you're nearby, I'm willing to look the truck over and tell you what I see.
If it were me...
Thanks
I also like stick. I like welding thick stuff in 2-3 passes, especially pipe.
But MIG has a place. For me, MIG is the choice when thickness is less than 1/8".
My tractor forks won't even think about moving the welder. I conceded defeat and went to the steel store and had them move it with their big bad forklift.
The yellow strap is only there until I get it bolted down.
+10% fee, +10% taxes, + $1k or so in immediate maintenance.
EUC is just a delay for picking it up.
Hold harmless agreement and branded paperwork varies state to state in the amount of trouble it causes. I have no knowledge of IL.
Welcome. And be warned it's a slippery slope....
