First MV. Question about towing with a 5 ton or larger.

Do you plan to carry passengers too? 5th wheel plates are very high on those. Your trailer is 12Volt? You'd need to make a converter for the brakes and lights. If your in a hurry, buy from a retailer. If your euc comes back in 10 days, you may still have a bad truck. 100% crap shoot on...

No, the whiffle tree is for lifting the front of a truck, for towing(from the shackle mounts).

    Winch clutch sliding key thanks!

You could drain the oil and try cornhead grease. It is some slick stuff and does not drip out like oil. Buy it at your local Joun Deere dealer. Or google it.

Another call(this time from SWB). They got into traffic about 30 miles out from their destination and it is smoking again. I asked if they had any caging bolts and a light clicked in Steve's head, and out to cage that one can he went. They should be done soon. Great new avatar Kenny...

Clutch slipping, can it be adjusted?

Torque, locktite if you like it(I do). Show a pic of your crankshaft. Some blocks have a removable seal retainer, some don't. Drive a sheetrock screw into the seal, and use visegrips to pull it out. If your crank hub is worn, you can see and feel it.

Official 2012 SS Ga Rally Info thread

I'd be happy to put your cold sandwich in my armpit for an hour before lunchtime, to warm it for you! Here's an idea. How about a sign-up sheet at the rally sign-in(Kenny's command post) for people to sign up for specific day/meal assistance, before during or after. Like a volunteer duty...

Clutch slipping, can it be adjusted?

Right or wrong, I reuse the flywheel bolts. The driveline bolts I also reuse if they still look and feel good. If not I replace them. I get new crush type grade 9 nuts at a local fastener shop.

    Bearing is stuck

Trumpet grease and Vaseline are NOT interchangeable. Don't ask me how I know(I was not in band).

    Crane Spreader (M108A2)

Thanks. One item I find myself needing to lift a few times a year, are boats, 18-28' long. A big old H that could be assembled on location, has been my plan.
