1 ) maybe.
2 ) very likely. I wouldn't risk it in a vehicle I cared about.
3 ) Nearly certainly.
Also, anything that leaks under normal circumstances will allow water in if submerged. Something to think about.
I have used Goode Towing in Killeen to grab and store items from Ft Hood.
In fact, I have an M129A4 at their place now waiting for me.
$300ish is cheap insurance against GP and their forklifting activities....
The shelf life of diesel fuel is far beyond 3 months.
The batteries should be fine for 3 mo.
Chocking wheels should be standard practice, 3min or 3mo.

102" is max legal width.
I wouldn't chance it. LEO already looks hard at duallies with bigger than stock tires. 35x12.5R17 in a stock ram 3500 DRW exceeds 102" . I've got 285/75r17 on the redtruck, and it's legal 100.xx", and they still pull me over and tape measure it.
I was considering...
To deliver the same power at 12v as is delivered at 24v you have to double the amperage. Double amps = double the waste heat = less efficient.
I can see advantage to having a 12/24 system to use 12v items. I can see absolutely no advantage to removing 24v items and replacing with 12v.
I wouldn't trust any vehicle enough to want to get 3 days away from pavement without a secondary vehicle. Even if just a mountain bike.
A 3 day drive is a loooong walk.
Nothing at all wrong with them. They are extremely capable offroad.
If it's not broke, why fix it?
And you can get them cheap from someone swapping out to singles. I'll have a full set available in a couple of months...
