Sounds like your all over it. Problem does't follow tire makes one think something is up with a strong magnetic force field condition or has the virus . (Info not in the TM)
Any chance ??? the previous owner, GI went looking for a land mine or ran it into curb? Bent the spindle ? Does wheel...
Focused like a laser beam. Should have been on the design team for the HumV.
A little squirt of grease as got to be better than remove and replace.
I like the way you think !! (y)(y)(y) Yankee ingenuity just got kicked in the pants, CAMO
Welcome to the site. What are you using to search? Let me be the first to say was it the TM's. OK, I said it... now your in the pack.
Here's a PS to help you. >> https://www.logsa.army.mil/web2/archive/PS2002/596/596-02-03.pdf
If truck and this hobby are new to one, pay close attention to...
At those speeds do you yell out " banzai" !!!
When I get up to 60 with a death grip on the wheel and advise the passengers ... HIGH SPEED RUN... Then back down to 54 MPH.
70 MPH gota be white knuckle time, CAMO
NO stink here. Just sharing knowldge, experience, different approach, what worked, what didn't... that kind of thing. Do what works in your world.
Kinda like music. You can play it right off the sheet or improvise and get funky. One way or another... Somebody going to like it.... somebody...
WITH ALL DUE RESPECT to the hard core ones that have a hard time thinking outside the box... as to the HMMWV design.
IMO and I be no expert at anything... BUT pretty DAMM GOOD at figuring out, reading the TM's and follow along with the prints...
IMO, HMMWV was thrown together to meet the need...
While not much... would one have the necessary edge distance to support the stud bolts from cracking out to edge?. How about the back side fit up with surface area. Rims strong enough for rating of a HumV?
Not something one could "chuck up" in the ol lathe.
Not looking to poo on a cool...
Add to my post # 8 Fussing and fusing for 12 Volts in the HumV. After 8 hours of sleep, I have a couple more brain toots.
Will try and clear any con-fusing concepts. Many ways to make the 12 Volt connection. Pros and cons... you decide for your needs. (you will anyway)
I and others...
For the military cool look, scrounge around and Epay the price.
For the most part, the ones out there are not an effective antenna for the frequencies your looking for.
There are a couple wide band military models hard to find or crazy priced.
For performance at a 10th of the cost go...
The fuse and lead with the equipment maybe OK, if fuse is at the battery. Extended battery leads going to equipment, passing thru battery box, bulk heads, fire wall... then to equiment, will need a fuse.
Rule of thumb... Fuse is to protect the wire and is placed as close a possible to the...
There you go... ONE WORD RESPONSE.
Last and final guess... Cheap Chinezzeam, hooked them up wrong... right out of the box. Now electronics all shorted out.
Remove them and drive during the day,If it even starts. CAMO
Here's how it's going down.
Officer, I didn't see the Army truck thing. Camouflaged paint job looked like a tree and I spilled my HOT coffee, burning my leg.
Lawyers wouldn't have to dig very deep to be convincing to twelve.
Wouldn't be the first time. And Rufas T. Slimebucket just got me...
Looks to be a slight leak, maybe a drip, some might call it a seep, maybe just sweating. I see it around the steering covers, mostly. Spray some of the GUNK stuff and wash it down. See where the dust accumulates next trip out.
Could check oil - fill and torque steering covers. Half (other...
4l80E TC should have locked when in fourth gear (depending on set-up 45-50 mph should do it) Tap the brakes to UN-lock.
Slight RPM increase due to un-locking of TC & power transfer losses with same throttle applied. That's why the for lock-up, power transfer, mileage, overall less trans /...
HumV's are like a new spelling word... (hang with me a second on this)
One as to see it, say it, learn it correctly, remember it and when the time comes... spell it correctly.
Learn it wrong and likely to spell it wrong, but that can be fixed.
Never learn it, don't care to, or keep trying...
