    Gauge Cluster Voltages

Not Amps... Milliamps. And I don't have the dope your looking for. Gauges work with small current variations, producing a magnetic field, indicating zero to full scale. Resistance values of senders in ohms typically 0 to 60 and could go as high to 500 with some designs. There are two...

    Trucklite Headlight

Where did you get it? Not that it matters so much. Many have sold epay and surplus. I had a couple and one took a dump three months after receiving, Bought one to replace it and was not the same color. Had a greenish hue. ALL done with E pay crap and went the full Monty for two new...

    Current on Alternator Not Adjusting

YEA !! SHUT it OFF or it going to be a BIGGER problem with control box PCB / ESSS. Also, not a current adjustment. It's Voltage. Might want to look back at other threads on the 60 Amp system, When you get it all figured out, IMO might want to leave the output lead loose, then dial it in...

Relocating the fuel filter assembly.. My idea..

Unplug it take it off, send sender to the round file and maybe this> While the Humv filter is a PITA to work with and one goes to all the trouble to move it, You guy's changing the filter that much ?? Think about a spin on remote fuel head filter / separator. Cheaper in the long run...

    Keyed ignition question

Hello diesel dave, You might be on to something. A good switch contacts should handle the RUN positions easily. Going to the START position could be a bit more iffy. Good quality contacts with very low resistance is definitely what you want under load. Any voltage drop across contacts...

    Keyed ignition question

Haven't heard of a truck burning to the ground or wiring. Have heard of intermittent operation or starter sticking and really not sure if it was the switch or starter solenoid. Like what else could go wrong???? 🤔 A poorly design switch with inferior contact metals, non wiping contacts...

    Control Box

WOOOoo This is going sideways REAL fast. DO NOT mix and match these controllers and sensors. That I do know. Search Smart Boxes, PCB's, won't start using the search engine here and study up. Not sure where I saw it... a cross reference chart showing what works with what. In the beginning...

    Keyed ignition question

Not a bad question. How many time did MOM say "don't touch that stove" So it's a cool 86 degrees now, with a high of 108 +. I got up off MY butt and went out to the basic M998 truck with Fluke model 79 & Amp probe 80i - 110s to dooo a follow up to a burning question with science. STOP, RUN...

I get the need for thief / security. First thing that stands out when you get your rig. While an obvious need in today world, quit going cheap with made up crap switches. Research is the key... haha no specs, no buy. >...

    Tire Bounce...

You say "SPLIT RIM" and old guys begin to shake... living facts and stories of rings flying thru the air, tearing a hole in the roof or worst, someone getting killed. (history for the newbies, not us old stinkers) As for the HumV 2 piece, combat, double bead lock rim... Kid can't find it...

    Winter Storage Proceedures

All good ideas posted. You are the one that knows your rig. Just park it and could be a big headache next May. IMO... A PMCS with winterizing in mind would not be a bad idea for 7-8 months of storage. Give it a nice bath: inside and out. Get the fishy smell out LOL 🦈🐟🐠 Grease all things...

    Tire Bounce...

NOT split rims. Two piece military bolt together, double bead lock. This will totally confuse them. Call them "split rim" and most tire shop are going to turn and run. CAMO

    Tire Bounce...

IMDS In My Driveway Shop......... DIY is a money maker for tire wear and MPG. Have Band-aids handy. Something to consider first is to work out the caster and camber based on ones loading needs first. This is in the TM too and will require a bit of work. Simple nuts and bolts to pull the...
