    Running backwards?

I was not making myself clear, and that's my error. The patent would not be on the blast-gate (which is only one element of the idea), but on the concept of all the elements combined that make up the runaway "choke". The only issue is, how many people in the world are going to rush to buy this...

From one border to the other in a deuce and m105

Hey, red, has that been your plan all along? Or was your decision by other method!?

    Running backwards?

Simple does not automatically mean an idea cannot be patented: - Patent it. - Market it to the big manufacturers. - Sell them the patent. And spend the rest of your life buying Green Iron! "To Sleep/ Perchance to Dream" - Willy S.

Connected my MEP-803A the proper way as my home standby generator... Install pics...

To you all, all this makes sense; but for some of us with minds unschooled in the art, it's helpful to hear it multiple ways to make it start to "stick". Electricity has always seemed kind of mysterious: - Whenever I asked two or more electricians on a job the same electrical question, they'd...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Bungee cord is a convenience for sure, but just remember your eyes when working around them. I read an article in some medical journal once about eye injuries related to bungee cords, and decided right there to seriously weigh their risk against their benefit. There are lots of alternatives...

World War II Victory Capitol Flyover May 8th, 2015

It is of course sad that we have lost so many veterans of late from WWII. But it is also of course inevitable. We die when we get older. That's what we all do. But I know what you're getting at, CARNAC. I get it. What strikes me as most sad is that the wide world over we still go to war and go...

    Running backwards?

It's simple and brilliant. Hanksdeuce should consider taking out a patent on that idea. And I'm not kidding about that.

I'm supposing there's a good reason for a single ground path: - Maybe it's about simplicity ensuring certainty. I am no electrician (or electrical engineer) by a long shot, but I'm always interested to know stuff. Can any of you "Sparky" experts here, give a simple layman's explanation for...

    Running backwards?

Considering the threat to life-and-limb of a runaway, you'd think manufacturers would automatically include some kind of feature like these for the problem; neither one seems complicated or even costly. But...this isn't anything like a perfect world though, is it!?

Also, dodgedougak, if your daughter ever needs a hand or help with anything locally, don't know that we can do much, but let me know and we'll do what we can.

Hmmm..do you like low flying aircraft?....then here ya go!

You're kidding right, marchplumber? I can't tell! Because you know that the hull is propelled completely by airwash from the prop, right!? Nothing on that engine and its drive-train ever makes any contact with the water. That hull is only a bathtub with a mounted fan. If you've never been...

Certainly right there among the prettiest for sure. Thanks for the great photo! You got it all covered: the MV jeep, Old Glory snapping in the breeze, and the Mountains. I love those Western barns too, low and ground hugging. They're kind of special. You don't see any of those back East here...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

These are "avalanche shovels" designed for light-and-tight packing for high country skiers. But they are not light-duty (at least not the good ones). They can be handy in a pinch. REI carries these. Here's a link http://www.rei.com/search.html?ir=q:Avalanche+shovel&page=1&q=Avalanche+shovel

    Have I lost it ?

The detail in that model is impressive. It looks like there is almost an individual corresponding part for each component of the vehicle. That will make for a great reference tool to have in hand when needed. Please keep us posted. [thumbzup]
