    So, how do you propose to wire this? I am not seeing how this would benefit(or even work). If you want 12v. you can use the front battery and you have 100amp charging it.

    How do you propose to use such a switch? For what purpose? In stock form the CUCV has both 12v and 24v circuits. It has 2 batteries that have separate alternators. It's a nearly perfect design.

    I used the term better, in place of efficient. I thought that is what you were leading toward. I guess I misunderstood your post. Thats why I asked for clarification for us dummies(me). Personally, I'm shocked how close they are.

    So, your saying that because the Cummins 5.9 uses .066 lbs of fuel per hour less than the LDT and it makes 8hp more, thats better? Sure don't sound like much. Considering the going rate(price) of a used motor($500-700 LDT or $1000-3500 5.9), I think you get more bang for the buck with the LDT...

    An advanced search in the CUCV forum for starter bolt, should get you both the part number and the thread diameter and pitch. The part number for the bolt is, 15544950.
