If they are mechanical gauges, then they only need power for the lighting. Swap the bulb as Simp stated, or you can run a transformer to step it down. Other option is to order 24 volt gauges. Hewitt industries has quality products that are 24 volt as well. I run their EGT gauge and like it.

Anything ever come of this? The specs make it look to be a S366. Should spool quick on an 8.3 and be good for 500hp.

I would also check fuel lines. If the truck is loping at idle, could be air in the line from a crack or bad fitting. Air in the lines would also cause the decreased performance.

Kinda of off topic, but are the ubolts on our trucks one time use? I know on pick ups you should replace ubolts when you un-torque them.
