We have a M1152 that runs like this with the big 400 amp alternator. I thought this was normal for all the turbos? high rpm, lower geared gas wasters. Checked the rpms with the Super Flo Shifter, shifts fine and overdrive.

Anyone know the name of this, it engages the driver at the transfer case. All i can find is *a on the diagram. Thanks

Check your battery ground connections. Make sure they are clean and tight

There is a number stamped below the drivers windshield in the engine compartment but does not always match the stock number

There are some videos on YouTube with people having success but I have no experience with this, look up the 3l80 transmission no reverse vids

No those were bought, nothing was fabricated but they are a very simple design and would be easy to copy if you were inclined.

Agree could be a bad ground, but we had a shattered Bendix

We just did this to one of the trucks, its kind of a bitch if you have not done it. I took it apart and bought a new Bendix and wound up having a local auto electric/ starter shop reassemble it. They only charged $95 . good luck

Why is your tape measure out to 11'-1" to measure a 7/8" fitting ?

Looks like someone forgot to shim the starter again. pull the starter, its just 2 bolts and 1 nut

Some do not have drain plugs. You can buy a new pan with a drain plug or tap one in yourself. did you measure it with the engine warmed up or cold?
