Hi I'm curious if anyone has come across a good takeout transfer case from a CCKW. I'm looking to swap my m211 case for a CCKW case to get a hi-low in the case. I'm in Florida and the closer the better. Thanks.
I recently got my hands on a 3053A for $200. It has some surface rust and in the case everything looks to be good but it was sitting outside for a while. About how much would I be looking at in rebuild costs in bearings, seals ect? I wouldn't want to exceed the price of a good takeout, I'm just...
I was wondering if anyone knows of M211 parts closer to Sarasota Florida than Green Gem Army Surplus, in Live Oak? I don't mind making the drive but if somethings closer that would be even better.
Hey, just curious is there any transfer case that will swap into an existing M211 transfer cases place that would be 1:1 and have a low? I've seen http://www.cckw.org/speed.htm and was curious if anything would work with the same mount and drive flange.
I searched every post on the 3053 and 3053-A and all over the internet. All I have been able to find is contradicting information on the final drive ratio of the transmission. Some say .85 some say .80 others say civilian cases have 3 other OD's ratios. I know what the TM says it just seems like...
Is there a manual that has the exact specifications for the outer drive flange on an m211? I have found a guy in Tennessee who has off the shelf front selectable hubs for the GMC 2.5ton axles. He sells them for $600.00 but I want to make sure he has the exact lockout before I buy it. Need spline...
Well after all that huff and puff thinking the transfer-case we the root of my problem I have found the culprit. My C-6500 will drive forwards but at speeds over 20 you hear what I can best be described as an output from a transfer case spinning loosely on the threads, missing the splint shaft...
I was wondering if anyone knew about the Detroit NO-Spin that works with our axles. Here is a writeup on rebuilding the 2.5ton GMC front loaders and installation of a locker front and rear.

I have the Tulsa C-6500, it started its as an AWD 6x6 but has since been butchered by Michigan's forestry service. I'm could use some advise on how best to make the rear suspension safe. I think the pictures speak well enough for them selves not to mention the hangers are welded on instead of...
Hi guys. I have a bit of a problem. I got a custom truck for my birthday. Its a 74 C-65 w/ stock engine 366 Tall-deck, stock trans CL280V but was converted to 4x4. After researching the axles are the Rockwell front loader type on the early deuce. Here is my problem. The transfer case is most...
Hi everyone. Great site!! I keep on burning the midnight oil well into the morning reading, learning and most of all wishing I had an M35A2. I'm pretty new to these trucks and don't exactly have all the money in the world to play with, just a college and part time paycheck to work with. I've...
Hi Guys. I've been looking around for quite a while. Great site. I have had an account with GL for a while but never purchased anything before. I have looked over the 2.5ton 5ton debate and decided I'd like to buy a 2.5 Duce and go from there. Learning and all. Is there anyone that can go and...
