Rebuilt 5.7 Vortec installed.. * .030 rebuild with the GMPP 395 cam and updated MPFI injectors.

The Vortec 350 swap is completed. Just needs a lil find tuning and AC lines. The only upgrades were MPFI injectors and the GMPP 395 cam.

I'm looking at a 6.5 turbo to stuff into my 86 M1008 and I have a few questions. The engine needs a new #8 piston which is an easy fix. The present piston has a tiny hole in it. This was a heat related issue on the #8 cylinder which the 6.5 turbo was known for.
How do I fix the coolant flow...
Turn on the headlights and nothing. No flashers or dash lights either. No blown fuses and the blackout switch is in the correct position.
**I do get the Gen 1&2 and the glow plug light when I turn the key, but nothing else.
What am I missing??

Dumb question; my 86 m1008 had a 12V conversion done when I bought it. It also has an electronic Vintage Air AC system in it. When I turn the ignition switch on, are the Gen 1 and Gen 2 lights still supposed to come on like the 24V system does? Currently only the Gen 2 light is coming on.

I run KM2's in this size on my 86 M1008. Great tires: excellent traction in heavy rain and mud, no fender rubbing and good fuel mileage.
Is the bendix on a 24v starter different than on a 12v starter? My 24v starter has been completely rebuilt and within 6mos it needs bendix #3..... what the🤷♂️🤷♂️
