    What year intake/exhaust to use?

I'm piecing together a turbo kit for my m1008, and i'm just wondering if anybody knows if there is a difference in the year the part is from. I've found an intake and exhaust manifolds, but the ads say they are from the late 90's. My 1008 is a 84, and i don't want to spend the money on something...

Just pick up a new power steering pump, and i don't think i got the right one. the new one won't even mount right. as you can see in the picture, the mounting holes in the old one are canted, and the new one has them straight up and down. also, there is one less tube on the side to mount one of...

Thinking about Cab Marker Lights for M1009

cab lights "That's Stupid!" I was thinking about it myself a few months ago, but just because it's a diesel and a decent sized truck, doesn't mean it needs cab lights. I think a bar and off-road lights would serve a better purpose if you need something to install, that's my plans.

Anyone ever have this fuel issue?

My M1009 is running like a champ, but only when the tank is topped off. I can get a good 30 mins of driving time, then it dies due to no more fuel being sent to the eng. I top off the tank(about 1 gal worth), bleed the filter and lines, then it's good to go for another 30 mins. I'm assuming...

anyone wanna help the new guy?

i made a bunch of calls all morning looking for a place to get the timing done with no luck. the bigger name brand chain stores don't have anyone qualified to do that type of work on a diesel, and won't do anything more than part swaps. the smaller shops don't carry the equipment to do the...

anyone wanna help the new guy?

yeah, i guess i'm going to go to the parts store tomorrow and rent the gage for the compression test. i'm kinda scared to see the results though. with it running ok-ish before the ip went out, what are the chances the rings blew at the same time? i didn't have the "white diesel smoke" until i...
