Its a Davey Vane military compressor with a 3 cyl john deere diesel.. there are no id tags plates anywhere on the unit .
I need some service info and parts info if theres any on it. I do know its...
My advice would be to rebuild the 6.2 and find a banks sidewinder kit, get a 4l80 donor out of something 98-current and use a standalone wiring kit with computer. I can do anything you'd want, but this would be my suggestion. Whats wrong with your 6.2?, the 6.2 is a much better block than the...
It's something I can surely do, but you are a few hours from me. you know to do the 4l80 that a standalone computer will be needed. I wouldn't recommend the 6.5 turbo setup either, I'd look for a banks sidewinder kit.
Not exactly, the only reason the NP205 was used in those models was for the PTO drive. I've had/built both, and they're both plenty robust, did you ever see the size of the Chain? it's about 2in. in dia.. I'd take either.
I was curious on this myself, I'm assembling a 6.2 now for my m1028 due to nuts and bolts down the intake from GL, block got jugs machined 030 over , heads and block were decked. I'm installing a DSG girdle and ARP head studs, the Machine shop supplied Victor head gaskets for me to use, but the...
I'd send you a six pack but would cost too much to ship lol. Can you buy suds at wally world or can I buy you dinner ? Ill gladly send you a gift card pm me.
You don't know what it would mean to me, lol I've been driving myself nuts I've been hitting junkyard's searching gm manuals tm's Im kicking myself for not taking a pic. I have a new valve and plug from Gm. All I need to know is which way the valve is facing under the plug. If its a good block...
Was hoping someone had an old junk 6.2 or 6.5 laying around they could knock out the welsh plug in the filter mounting boss and see which way the valve was installed?
Was hoping someone can help me with this, I'm putting together a 6.2 and in the process of preparation for the hot tank and cleaning process I removed the oil by pass valves. I know what B C D are for, my question is for A I know it's the oil cooler bypass that has a thermostatic valve and a...
my truck isn't used to this cold weather. I'm about 3 hrs from the OP so my CUCV is not prepped for this weather either.
They don't run or start well with gas in them :)
I'm looking to ship a 1987 chevy van with a lift bucket on it from Monrovia In. 46157 ----To McAdoo Pa. 18237. Truck runs and can be driven on to load. I can even meet in Western Pa. or Eastern ohio to pick up. Thanks
I would have gone with a 6.6 Duramax/Allison swap, or at the very least a 6bt Cummins. I really like the intake tube run into the passenger compartment :cookoo: .
