Cool, thanks - that makes more sense that something goes up front. Tried to find a pic of this installed but no luck so far.
I assume when I put the soft top rails on that will add some more “stability”.

Hey guys,
Today I went to inspect the humvee I’m purchasing (sooo close!). They added a C pillar (was turret top) and I noticed that C pillar isn’t very solid and only bolted on back side. Is there something missing?
I can see that thing flopping a lot and eventually breaking at the joint...
Hi Everyone,
Trying to line up transport of a humvee from PA to GA. Anyone have a solid recommendation?
Greatly appreciate it!

I’d suggest getting the locking spindle nut, like the BlueHummer one at ModMafia. They are not cheap but cheaper than the alternative of having a wheel fly off while driving.
You can search YouTube or forum for how to.
Hope that helps!

Thank you! Good call regarding the steel against aluminum. I’m thinking between the powder coat on the rails and the raptor liner on the body it should be good?

Welcome to the forum and congrats on being a humvee owner! I’m new myself and still waiting for mine to be ready from Eastern Surplus. I’ve been stocking up on parts and ready to dive in when I get it.
Being a surgeon I suspect you will like this project. From all the research I’ve done these...
Has anyone on here bought the Western Kentucky Surplus/ebay rails ($495)? Curious if you’re happy with the quality and fit.
Thanks!

I have a M1025A2 that will have the hard top deleted and B & C pillars added for soft top. I don't want to compromise safety, so if the standard location is the safe way to do this then that answers my question!
Hey everyone,
I am in the process of ordering a set of seat belts for the humvee. Has anyone here relocated the rear shoulder retractor unit from the "outside" the cab to "inside" the cab?
I read somewhere that you can do this for a cleaner look for a soft top but can't seem to find any info...
Yes, I should have mentioned that. Eastern is supposed to be checking all that but I’ll be double checking when I get it!
