My 96 Suburban was an Air Force Security Forces vehicle. You can see the outline of the words on the rear fender. The prevoius owner got ir from GL. It is a medium blue, not AF blue like my ex- ANG Dodge D50.

I towed both Cucv's I have bought, but I titled (with just a signed bill of sale), tagged, and drove my Dodge D50 from the Mechanicsburg Pa. site. The guard said it wouldn't run, WRONG! It was from my Air Guard unit, and I knew the truck.:grin:

The M1008 I got screwed out of had 45,000 miles on it. It was nice. If I go out to Phoenix to visit my sister, I WILL pay them a visit. I hate A__holes.

I bid on a M1008 back in October 2008. It was at Mechanicsburg, Pa. , and was beautiful. I won the bid, payed for it, and started the EUC process. The person at GL, in Arizona, kept rejecting my drivers license photo, until I finally got one faxed to her, with 2 days to go on their deadline...

I paid $600.00 for my 84 M1009 in January. It runs great (had to replace the relay and card for the glow plugs). It is still loaded with sand in places.

M1009 Recovery I paid $640 for my desert tan M1009. It is intact and in great shape. My first M1009 cost me a lot more, and I figure I will eventually get all the panels replaced. It is a rust bucket.

I bought a stainless steel syringe at Tractor Supply. Works great.

My wife is ticked, sine I hauled one out of NH earlier this year. It runs, but is taking a lot of body work (no bondo, welding). That project is on hold until warm weather, hope the Aberdine unit cooperates, so I can have ONE of them on the road sooner. My TJ Jeep is just too small.

got a CUCV I bought 1 of the M1009's. $640.00 Now I gotta borrow a tow vehicle (have a tow bar which I used on a previous M1009 out of NH). If ot needs engine work, I have a spare in a can.
