5 ton pintle hitch photo needed

I just picked up a 1990 International 6x6 dump truck, it is a former Navy truck. The factory pintle heigth is 36", which is too high for what I want to do with it, so I am thinking about a M series 5 ton hitch to mount to the rear of the truck to drop it down, just seems easier then building...

    M38 removeable floor section

I am looking for the bolt on M38 floor section, NOT a replacement floor and not the small transmission cover, the section that bolts in the tub around the transmission cover (the "cover' being the roughtly 6" x15" x3" cover). It is what would cover this huge hole in this picture. What is the...

    24 bolt wheel weigth

I am looking at putting HMMWV wheels on my M38 Jeep because I want double beadlock wheels (I would weld in new centers due to the offset/bolt pattern). I know I don't need the strength of 24 bolt wheels and I would rather have 12 bolt rims, but you can find the 24 bolts surplus with nice 37" MTR...

    M1061 Need master cylinder?

I need to find a master cylinder for a M1061 flatbed. Are the masters the same as the M105 or any other military trailer? With all the people chopping up trailers for bobbing 2.5 and 5 ton trucks, if they are, they should be plentiful. I haven't placed a classified ad yet because I need to...

Looking to buy firewall insulation kit

I am looking for a NOS firewall insulation kit for a deuce, but I don't know much about them. Does anyone have info on them? Are they effective? What are they made of? or any other info. Thanks. FYI- the ad is posted here: WTB- Firewall insulation kit for a deuce-5ton - Steel Soldiers::Military...

    Foam for passengers seat bottom?

I am in the process of replacing the cover on my passengers seat bottom, and I was planning on recovering the springs with new padding and recovering with canvas, but today the thought occurred to me, should I just ditch the springs all together and just use modern foam? The springs work, by...

I am shocked. I submitted my euc and got it approved in 3 days! It was submitted Monday, and approved Wednesday. I am amazed.

    LED tail light bulb

I know it's been covered, but I can't seem to find it- I'm looking to replace my M35 tail light bulbs with brighter led bulbs (don't want to spend the money for full led housings) and more importantly I want dual voltage led bulbs for my trailer so I can run it behind a 12 or 24 volt vehicle...

Does GL issue sf97's with trailers?

Does GL always issue sf-97's with trailers? Or is it hit and miss? Thanks

    M1061A1 Bed Length?

I have read on here that the M1061A1 is 12' or 14' long, can someone confirm the bed lenght? Thanks

    air springer seat?

You can get air ride seat springs like these on ebay for $15 for a set of 2. Has anyone tried using them with a place of the spring on a stock springer seat? Seams like an easy mod and it would certainly ride nice.

    solargizer a/c adapter?

I want to get a Solargizer. I was looking at the mil-spec one (part #IS-24-L for $54.00 online), but noticed that they also make one with an a/c adapter (for $215!), pictured below. Can you add this a/c adapter to the IS-24-L? Thanks

    Flipped hubs backing plate width

I sure it's posted, but I can't find it. What are the deuce's track width- from mounting plate to mounting plate, front and rear- before and after a rear hub flip? Thanks

    M35A3 floor cover

The M35A3 has a floor covering in it, as show in the attached pictures. Can anyone tell me what it's made of and how it's attached? Is it tight, loose, a pita or a nice addition? Thx

    Goodyear MVT vs. Michelin XML

I am thinking about either Goodyear MVT or Michelin XML's in 395's. Has anyone run both and which ones performed better on/off road? The XML's are more aggressive, but tread compound can make a big difference too.

    Items that don't sell?

Just curious- So GL's minimum bid is $150, and some items just are not worth that and don't sell. Some items with no bidders at all. So what does GL do with them? Just relist them? Scrap them? Or combine them with other similar unsold items to make for a more valuable lot worth $150?

    One Piece Windshield Wanted

I would like a one piece windshield that kept the rain and noise out and the heat in (and a/c if ya got it). This has been covered before and many members have said they want one, but the one company use to make them: Extreme Off Road Equipment is not around anymore. Does anyone else make...

    Need new seat cover

I'm looking for a new passengers bottom set cover/cushion. My other 3 cushions are new, installed by the military within the last year (and less then a month before hitting the surplus block) and are a dark green color. Many of the NOS covers online appear to be a lighter olive drab color...

How many gallons to paint a deuce?

I'm going with type II WD (water based) tan CARC, 2 part paint. It mixes 2-1-.5 with paint, cat, water so 1 gallon of color makes 1.75 gallons of sprayable paint. My current paint is in great shape overall, so I'm only topcoating the bed sides, cab and bumper. I am not using primer, but I...

    Pics of Hood Locks?

LOTS of deuce security threads, but no pictures/ideas of hood locks. I was going to fab one up soon, but wanted to see others had done. My thought is: If you can lock your hood, imobilizng the vehicle is much easier and more secure, because as many have pointed out in the past- all the in-cab...
