About a year ago my heater core developed a leak and I took it to a local radiator shop and they soldered it and corrected the problem. I went to napa and they tried to cross it with a civi heater core but was a no go. Also tried to use a close match and run hoses out of the box but couldn't...
I hope mine isn't damaged like yours. Wow, I tell ya, that CTIS system would be real nice if it wasn't so **** time consuming to deal with. I sure do appreciate your time explaining the details and answering the questions I had. They will definitely help. Good luck, and have a safe trip to...
Yes I have seen that thread. Did you take the the bearing out of the race or leave it all together and just force grease into the bearing like he did? What kind of grease aremyou using to repack?
You could try TNJ Murray. I have the same problem with gear oil leaking from the hollow stud. I hate to admit but I ordered the last ring from erik. Ordered 2 but he told me he only had 1 with no date on resupply, so I looked around and went to TNJ Murray and they had them. Not as quick on...
Sounds right. I just finished my fourth drain and refill and it looked completely red coming out. Changed the filters and filled the external filter with a quart and the pan got 9. Seems to be right on the stick. Best thing I've done to my truck yet.
Same with mine. Sounds like 3rd was already starting to fail and the switch exasterbated the problem. I agree that on the number of trucks that had the failure is high but, these could have been driven with heavy loads in the .mil. Just my 2cents.
Thought I'd revive the thread by stating I finished switching over to dex III. Did the fill and drain method 3 times with driving in between about 40 miles. Replaced both filters on the last drain and fill. What a difference it has made. Seems like the shift points are more consistent...
What's it take to completely break an a3 tire down? I've got 4 tires that leak down and want to replace both the o ring and the rubber grommets. Would it be best to take these to a tire shop or is it possible to do it myself. Is the runflat a pain to get off the rim and back on?
I don't mean...
Hopefully someone has an answer to this. When I depress the brake pedal the brakes grab but the brake lights will not come on until I depress the pedal more and by that time I would have locked the wheels up.
I'm wondering if it could be a stop light switch is bad. I've listened for leaks...
I had a local radiator repair shop solder mine. Couldn't find a core to save my life unless I bought an entire heater. I had almost 2 entire fins repaired and pressure tested, came to $20.
Feel for ya buddy. I'm tall also 6'10" and wanted an M35a2 but had to get an a3 to be comfortable. I've heard guys cutting a coil out of the spring under the seat. Other than that its a 5 ton wheel and with that you would need power steering.
Well, I like the a3's and because I'm on the tall side at 6'10" I really needed an automatic, powersteering, and the smaller steering wheel was an added extra that I didn't know they came with.
Green Fever? but it's tan. Just Kidding. If that is your place in your avatar, I would be more than happy to give it to you if I could live there with free room and board. :-D
