    Another 806B acting funny.

Its a B Model, engine keeps running. Heartbeat is beating.

    Another 806B acting funny.

Hey Guy. Never really figured out the Gen with the high voltage, I got it stabilized and set to 208 and it powered our camp (running parallel) for a few weeks then the engine alternator caught fire. So we swapped it out for another one. Worked great for about 3 days till our camp guests...

    Another 806B acting funny.

Got an 806B just shipped to our Det. It's fires up, frequency comes up and voltage comes up... To like 220 volts? (everything is set to 208 and 60hz) can manually bring voltage down with switch but it fluctuates very slowly down to like 190 and slowly back up to 208. I'm thinking the automatic...

    806B Acting really weird.

True true. I literally have had no experience in these generators till this deployment. Let me tell you what though, definitely learned a lot messing around with this one.

    806B Acting really weird.

Well I found out I'm an idiot, I guess those little wires on top of the main wires on the contactor is what let's the systems know what the voltage is... See attached picture. The wires were rubbing the air cleaner and actually cut that wire. Gonna get the wire fixed tomorrow and we should be good.

    806B Acting really weird.

The I/O is the board directly behind the screen right? If so we did install a new one and the one we took out of it put in a different one and works fine. We also installed a new circuit transformer. Just a recap of issue -no voltage displayed on phase A. -no frequency displayed. -actual...

    806B Acting really weird.

Hey Guy. Sorry for the long delay but we're digging back into this Gen. So looking at the lights. When it's running the GEN LED on the load Sharing block is not on. Any idea what to look at that for those?

    806B Acting really weird.

I do remember seeing the green heart beat light, didn't notice it flashing. The heart beat was flashing on the screen on the bottom right though. Will go through and check all connections and check the LED's later today when I get to camp and update this evening.

    806B Acting really weird.

@Guyfang I have attached screen shots of the display and what it's doing while it's running (someone was messing with it while I was away and had the hz switch in the 50 spot but it does the same thing in the 60hz spot) . And I attached a picture of where I tested 120v and 60hz at each of those...

    806B Acting really weird.

Uhh Im with the Seabees so I think your talking about something else on this island... 1. Is this your gen set? By that, I mean have you seen it work right before? Or are you trying to fix someone else gen set? Or a set form POMCUS? This Gen is part of our TOA, got turned over from last...

    806B Acting really weird.

Hopefully someone can get me an answer on this thing. Currently deployed here in Tinian. I'm just a regular mech and generators confused. A/C current is trippy. this 806B fires up and runs just fine, but the Display (CIM?) shows 0 faults but the voltage is showing 110 on the left and right but...
