My New M56B1 Contact Maintance Truck

No problem. I was going to do the same thing and make one for my M37/42. I already have two complete spotlights (less the mount). They just need bulbs. Let me know if you need a pic of a certain spot or anything.

My New M56B1 Contact Maintance Truck

It doesn't have the upper doors. I did a little research and from what I found the earlier CMU-3 sets like this one had a canvas rear cover.

My New M56B1 Contact Maintance Truck

Thought I would post up some pics of my new to me M56B1 Contact Maintenance truck. I actually picked up the truck in January and have been sitting on it till I had the time to start on it. The pics can be deceiving. There is almost 0 rust on it and none under it. In fact the original paint...

    M37/42 Map Table

Thanks. I would have preferred to go with the older GRC radios as they are more period correct to when the trucks were new and look better to me. A couple things steered me towards the VRC's. First for me was that the VRC's were available locally and I was able to trade parts for almost every...

    M37/42 Map Table

Here are some pics of the radios installed. Sorry its taken me a while to post the pics. I have been getting that M56 in the back ground ready for paint. Weather permitting. I still need to secure the cables with clamps and run the power cable to the other side. I've decided to add a...

    M37/42 Map Table

Wow that's a nice map table. John at MWM makes nice parts. Thanks for all the shots they are perfect. I am hoping to fab my own up in my shop. I've just finished installing a vrc-47 radio set in my truck so now I'm down to the map table and light reel. If anyone needs pics of a VRC series...

    M37/42 Map Table

Thank you! Those are perfect. The only other parts I wonder about is, is there a latch that goes on the truck to allow the table to be secured up or down? Also is there a wing nut to lock the adjustable legs (height)?

Awesome. I'm looking for pics of brackets that hold it to the side boards and any others that could help me fab up the parts. I think I can approximate the rest from pics. Thanks.

    Recently acquired Pioneer Tool Trailer

Ok. It's been a while since I updated this post so here is an update. I'm still trying to get a copy of the manual. I've filed a FOIA request since that seems to be how others have got theirs. The manual is even restricted to those with access to the govt manual database. That aside after...

    new member of the family

Welcome to the site and congrats on the new M37. Yes you should be able to get the rubber brake lines from a local napa. That's where I went when I rebuilt the brake system on my M37. I was able to get everything there. I don't remember the part numbers for the hoses but I just took my old...

And here are the latest pics of the resto. Had it sand blasted and just finished priming it late this evening. If the weather holds up in the morning I'll shoot the green and get it closer to done.

    Recently acquired Pioneer Tool Trailer

I recently scored a couple of pioneer tool trailers with a buddy about a month ago and wanted to share some of the pics as well as update pics since i have already stripped and primed mine. A search of all of the posts on these leaves me with a couple questions. Does anyone have a pic or...
