    M37's versus the Pinzgauers

There is a fella in town here who has a Pinzy. I checked it out and it looks pretty dang rugged. I was wondering if anyone here considers it to be better suited for on-road versus off-road. My M37 gets around town very well. But, where I think it shines is off-road. Anyone have any thoughts?

What type of trailer for an M37?

By that I mean, what would have been a typical accessory for the M37 to pull during the years they were in military service? Mine still has the original Pintle Hitch on it.

Not really a Road Trip, but it sure made some old time veterans happy...

This past October, a gentleman from the VFW happened by my house one morning and noticed my M37 sitting in the driveway. It was a cold morning and when I opened the door, I invited him him. He asked me if my M37 (he knew what it was) ran, and if I would like to enter it into the Veteran's Day...

    Anybody else feel this way?

It's been eight years since I bought my 1954 M37. The fella who had it before me had changed it from the 24 volt, to a 12 volt system. Obviously, none of my gauges work now. How I wish the guy would have left it alone. Gentlemen, what are your thoughts on the 24 volt system, versus a 6...

    My 1954 Dodge M37

This is my M37 when I bought it. It didn't go, and it didn't stop. It needed a lot of work. http://i663.photobucket.com/albums/u...psd2d04b0c.png http://i663.photobucket.com/albums/u...ps5f63d0d8.png http://i663.photobucket.com/albums/u...psa863e498.png When I towed it home (just a few...

    Canvas Top

Mine has begun to show signs of wear and tear. I have some sources available to purchase a new rag top but.... how difficult is it to actually install? My M37 is a 1954. Thanks!

    Well boys, here she is.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v124/1911executivesales/now5.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v124/1911executivesales/now3.jpg When I bought her she didn't run, nor did she stop. Hole in the gas tank, points were shot, hole in the radiator, broken door glass.... you get the picture...

    I need a longer shifter.

Anybody have any ideas? I've seen some M37 shifters that are much higher in position than mine. Would be easier for me to shift if mine were as high as the ones I've seen. Thanks

    Comment/Question to CGarbee...

Sir, I want to thank you for all the information you have posted on your website. What a wonderful source for information! That being said; I am in the process of buying replacement gauges for my M37. The glass on all of them (actually it looks and feels like thick plastic), is shattered. I...

How does the glove box stay closed?

I bought four Dzuz clips thinking they were used on the hinge of the glove box to help "spring" the door closed. Now I find out they are used on the dash for the instrument cluster. :( So, how in the world do you keep the glove box door from falling open? Thanks!

    Longhunter, anyone....HELP!

Did our beloved trucks come with rear view mirrors? Mine doesn't have one, and it doesn't look as if it ever did. Also, where is the high beam indicator loacated at on the dash? Mine doesn't appear to have that littel doo-dad either. :?

    Are "original" winches available?

Is the name Braden? Sorry, right now I can't seem to remember what the brand name of the M37 winches were.

Some cool info (at least to me) on my new 1953 M37.

Ok first off, I picked up my M37 today. Drove it home and started going through it. Here is what I know about it so far. 1. There is a heater (?) of some type underneath the front seat. 2. There is some type of radio (?) in the engine compartment on the left side of the firewall. 3. Wipers are...

does there seem to be more 1953 M37s than any other year? Perhaps it's just because I'm fixin to buy one, but it sure seems like there are more '53s than other years? Anyone else???

New guy about this close to buying an M37

Well, the fever has hit me and I'm on the doorstep of a complete 1953 M37. Wish me luck fellas, and hopefully I'll be posting pics of my Steel Soldier. :) Oh by the way. I dig doing research and after doing a lot of it in the last few weeks on the M37 I was eventually turned-on to this board...
