If I was certain that the alt just happened to go bad when the belt came off, I'd be on board with this idea. My luck dictates that I'd drop the cash on a new alt just to put it in and still have a small issue somewhere else that could have been resolved to get everything working fine.

Anyone know the size of the Torx bolt that holds the seat belt retraction mechanism to the body? My belt is "locked" in retracted position. Gonna take it off and slather it with WD-40.

It seems to me that the "modification" of my Alt2 was someone's way of getting around the Gen2 light. I wish I had taken pictures of it when I took it apart. I just assumed it was supposed to be that way and reproduced the modification when putting in the new regulator.

Alright, both alts are rebuilt. I'm still not getting a charge to my rear battery. When I test the "BAT Terminal" I'm seeing about 27v. When I test at the rear battery terminals at idle I only see 12.6v.
