Rusty, Recovry and Panzerwillie's Wrecker Builds

Finally making some headway. Ended up having to buy a tractor to lift the bed and a miller bobcat 250 to do the repairs with. Quick pic while test fitting. Brett

Rusty, Recovry and Panzerwillie's Wrecker Builds

We bought a tractor with a loader. Now I will be able to make some progress. Still haven't touched the bed anymore since being blasted and primed. With the loaded, I'll be able to build the subframe and move it around. Not making the progress I was hoping for but it's almost time to park the...

    CUCV m1008 bed conversion

Sounds like a great conversion. Would it be possible to do this with a 1101 trailer too? brett

    M1008 rear differential

If I remember correctly it's a 1/2 drive or 3/8 drive socket. Maybe use a small extension so it'll reach easier. Brett

Look at the bottom of the page. It has links to others who have done want you wanted. Sometimes it works better than the search feature brett

ARTILLERY ROAD, CLARKSVILLE TENN GL SITE What is it like ? cow pasture? Any GL help?

Supposedly there is supposed to be a symbol that dictates scrap and it wasn't present on this auction. Hopefully everyone that won can get a title if they'd like. Brett

ARTILLERY ROAD, CLARKSVILLE TENN GL SITE What is it like ? cow pasture? Any GL help?

My buddy called GL and they told him it was a scrap auction. He is less than thrilled. He's trying to figure out what to do next. No where did it say that. If it was scrap why list the mileage and payload? Brett

Rusty, Recovry and Panzerwillie's Wrecker Builds

Yes. It has a 2" against the drum, wheel, spacer, wheel. Not ideal but will work till I get the rear converted to disc. The wheel is to small for the drum without the spacer. One thing I'm seeing is the need to get my brake lines installed sooner than later. That are tight as can be. I've been...

Rusty, Recovry and Panzerwillie's Wrecker Builds

Still working away. Going to do some welding and mods to the wrecker bed. It's currently standing on its front for ease of access. Cut the mufflers off tonight. Exhaust was rotted behind them. Sounds great now. Brett

    12-Bolt Beadlock questions

I didn't balance mine and it drives ok. I'm running Dually front wheels with 37s and my m1102 take offs until I can get my wrecker bed installed and then it'll have all Dually wheels on the rear with 37s. None of them are balanced. I drive it 35 miles one way to work when I don't want to unhook...

Just won Hyster E40XL-MIL on GL

What about charging each battery independently until you can get a correct charger? Just single them out and trickle charge each one for a day or so with a regular automotive charger. Most new ones can handle 6v or 12v batteries now. Brett

    M1009 6" lift

I removed my TC drop and my tick noise went away. I also pulled off the cross member and cut out the piece interfering with the front driveshaft. Everything is great now! brett

Rusty, Recovry and Panzerwillie's Wrecker Builds

Looks sharp crash! I finished my lift finally. Took the cross member out and cut it with my torch. Lots it clearance now. Truck is a beast off road. Dropping bed off tues to get blasted. Will be getting comfortable with a cut off tool when I get it back to make room for the tires. Drove the...

Rusty, Recovry and Panzerwillie's Wrecker Builds

Theres nothing good in there anymore. We have burned a bunch though. Hopefully the builder will get it all hauled off sooner than later. The pile is huge and looks trashy! (Pun intended) if your local you'd be welcomed to get whatever you could use brett

Rusty, Recovry and Panzerwillie's Wrecker Builds

Haven't messed with the wrecker bed lately. Been busy lifting the 08. Still need to find a solution for my front driveshaft. I've gotten some great info here but it looks like the cutting torch is going to come out to give me the needed clearance. Here's some pics. Front wheel well is about 48"...
