2012 MTA of No. Jersey Sussex Show

My first time as a vendor and I will say it is a great show. Lots of great folks willing to help out. Thanks! I have been to several swap meets and it is the first time I felt valued as a vendor. See you all tomorrow!

2012 MTA of No. Jersey Sussex Show

I'm trying to decide what to bring! Bigger stuff like M35 cabs and M105 trailer are a bit of a pain. We'll see how much I can get organized this week :jumpin: I'm excited for the weekend. Bump for less than a week to go!

I'm really looking forward to it! I have some stuff to vend and I'm looking for parts too. I'm happy to hear that EMR has the forklift. I have a couple axle assemblies that I certainly can't lift! I'm excited to meet some of you guys. -John

    2012 Northeast MV shows

Is there a specific thread for the MTA "Sussex" show? I saw some of the old ones but couldn't find a 2012 version. It's my first time going so I was hoping gather some info.

    $3500 M1008s??

I stubled upon this thread. Interesting points on value. I'd have to say that most of the east coast CUCV auction trucks are way overpriced. I don't think buyers realize what you need to put them into decent condition. Also, on more than one occasion I have gotten trucks that were more...

    Suggestions on Large Tire Balancing...???

If you don't mind, which product code did you get? They have a boatload of different types. I think I need a bucket of them ;-)

Pennsylvania M35A2 owners.....A couple questions for you.

Thanks everyone. I'm hoping haggarty hooks me up since I have a Jeep with them already. I don't know if I'll be able to get plates until she gets paint though. My M35 looks a bit rough.

Pennsylvania M35A2 owners.....A couple questions for you.

Bringing this back up. I'll be registering in PA. Looks like I'm going to go with an antique plate. I can't justify the cost of a commerical plate and insurance for the few times that I'll haul something. I have another vehicle with antique plates, but I never tow or haul cargo with it... I...

    M35A2 Insurance.. Got it!

Bump. I talked to Geico about adding my M35A2 (stock) to my policy and was quoted $500/yr with no restriction. They did say it would be evaluated at next renewal which probably means they would drop coverage. I plan to check with Hagarty since I have my little Jeep CJ registered with them...

    Pulled lot

Stinks. I couldn't help but wonder if it was because it was the cheapest out of the group of 8 or so that were closing that day. But, I doubt the gov't cares what they get for surplus items. Maybe GL, but not the actual gov't.

    Pulled lot

That's what the GL person said too. It was for an M35A2. I'll have to keep an eye out. Thanks.

    Pulled lot

I was notified today, after I won an auction and already sent in my EUC that the lot was pulled. What the heck! I was really bummed. GL empolyee told me it was very rare, but I'm guessing it is not as rare as they make it out to be.

    Dismounting Tires With HiLift Jack

Looks like something I would do. [thumbzup] I have broken lots of beads with the highlift but never a duece tire. Looking fwd to seeing how that new rubber goes on for you, I'd like to try the same thing.

    Newbie MEP-018A questions

No progress on mine...still on my to-do list.

    Deuce bed weight?

Its a 20 ft deck and 4 ft convertable dovetail. And yes 7K axles. I was at the limit with that load. Maybe a little over, but it hauled great. I would have liked to have the braking that comes with tandem duals though.
  17. B

    Deuce bed weight?

I can't answer specifically on the bed weight but this load weighed 25,520 lbs gross (there are 3 generators, a 20K winch and 6 axle assemblies on there too) I guess my point is, I wouldn't be afraid to haul one on a gooseneck, just take your time and be careful.:grd:

Will civilian 10b rear work M1009?

That's what I have found. Unless someone has a commercial account though their work. They seem to get big discounts.

    Recovered my M35A2

Thanks! The superduty earns her keep often. Trailer is a 20 ft deck with 4ft convertable dovetail. It is pretty darn useful.

    Noob in North NJ

Welcome. I'm collecting parts to adorn the Jersey highways with a bobber sooner or later. I see stuff on GL at Picatinny semi-often.
