It did indeed end up being an bad o-ring on one of the injectors. I went ahead and bought a couple of injector re-build kits off e-bay to fix it up. Doesn't seem to leak anymore just working on getting the timing adjusted on the pump so i can get it back on the road. Thanks for the help everyone!
Thank you I'll try see if I can see anything . I was trying to find info I saw some stuff about injectors staying open but not sure if that would dump fuel into the oil as well
I sold my M35A2 recently and upgraded to an M925A1. Its a really nice truck, very clean and runs great! I picked it up from John (jccappeljr here on the site) in PA and drove it home with no problems. John is a great guy and a pleasure to do business with. No pictures of my own yet but here are...
Yes. They came from a guy in Calvert, same guy who previously owned the truck. He had 5 of them in new condition, we had to get the 6th one offline.
Had a buddy help with mounting them. No shop would touch them.
Thanks! Yeah couldn't decide how we wanted to run the rear hubs but i like the...
Thanks for the heads up R Racing, I'll be giving them a call for sure. Hope to get these on before winter really hits.
Also good to meet another SOMD'er on the board.
Looking for a little help mounting some tires on the deuce. I have 46 inch Michelens that i want to put on stock rims, I have the tubes and tires just need some help mounting near southern maryland. If anyone can help let me know. Thanks!
This came with the duece I bought. Obviously its a compressor and says it was a reman on the tag. Just not sure what type of compressor it is. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Thanks for all the info and help. Once it turns over and is running it idles and runs fine just the initial cold start takes some effort. I do want to pull the pump and clean out the fuel tank, screen, and check that hose clamp. I've read that it can be a problem and you guys have confirmed it...
Makes some sense then since I think the previous owner ran WMO in the truck. Guess I'll keep an eye on the Hydraulic Head and turn the fuel up to see if it helps the issue. It only really seems to do it on a cold start.
I've noticed that the M35A2 takes awhile to start. Usually i have to give it gas while pushing the starter button to get it to idle after sitting. Some say theirs turns over with ease at the push of a button so I'm just wondering how well does your M35's start and should i be concerned or is...
Here are some pictures. History on this truck is its a 1971 that was rebuilt in 1991 by the army. Want to say it was a humanitarian truck due to the red crosses that were painted front and back. It's a multifuel diesel, can't remember manufacture at the moment, D-turbo, with I think 22K miles...
Hey everyone.
I have been lurking around the site and mainly use it for research but i figured i would introduce myself. I'm from Maryland and bought my M35A2 this past August. I have been enjoying the truck and working on it has been fun so far. I like the site but easily get lost in all the...
