Well I’ve lost my battle with the transmission issues I’ve been having with the truck. Called an Allison dealer and they’re thinking $10-$12,000 to rebuild.
Decided to buy a trans on eBay which looks to be surplus and rebuilt. Going to put it in next month when I get a little more time...
Got the new mirrors installed today while waiting for some transmission parts to show up. Huge upgrade over the stock junk. Cut out and powder coated some 1/4” aluminum plate to stiffen the door. Adding some marker lights and turn signals to them this weekend.
Newly acquired truck. Haven’t driven it much and haven’t gotten a chance to tackle the manual yet.

Trying to find a manual for an MRAP Cat II BAE Systems. It's for a sheriffs department and I'm trying to come up with a maintenance schedule and and pre trip inspection lists.

Working on a BAE Systems MRAP. Have an intermittent issue with the parking brake light coming on with the brakes released. Does anyone know the location of the pressure switch? I located the ones for the brake lights but not the parking brake switch. Thanks

I'm adding hydraulics to my 5 ton. I think I'm going to go with a belt driven clutch pump vs. a trans pto pump setup. I have been searching the forum but haven't found anyone else that has done this. I thing I'm going to include it in the power steering belts. Anyone else seen this or have it on...
The front axle on my truck only seems to engage when I'm in reverse. I don't know too much about this truck as I haven't done much work to it but I'd think it should engage when going forward. Am I doing something wrong?
