    Oil press gauge question, wiring

Truck came with a malfunctioning gauge, or sending unit, still troubleshooting. When I removed the plugs from the original gauge, I did not annotate which wire was on left (zero) side if looking at face, and which was right. I don't want to hurt the gauge. by hooking up 24v to the wrong...

    Testing oil pressure gauge

I just wanted to clarify that the resistance chart in the TM is ohms, correct? Not Kohms or Mohms. I accidentally touched the hot wire to the gauge threaded stud while the lights were on, and I think it fried the gauge. I ordered a new one, and it pegged high and won't move now. I tried...

    M835a?

A certain site has auctions coming up for a couple M835a deuces. I have never heard of this model. Didn't find anything in the FAQ either. Any ideas?

Will civilian 10b rear work M1009?

Might have a chance to pick up another M1009 that supposedly has a bad rear end. Local yard has one out of a k5. Is the pinion yoke the same? Brakes?

waste diesel engine oil in 6.2?

I have nearly unlimited access to clean used oil from big trucks. If I filter this down to 2 micron do you think it would be ok to run in a 6.2 at 25-50 percent? I have an old airdog system with water separator and 2 micron filter. I was going to try thinning it down with fuel and then...

    What are normal shift points?

M1009, With light to medium throttle input it shifts at around 21mph and 42mph. Is this normal or do I need to dig further? Shifts aren't overly firm, but it's kinda annoying cruising through town at 35 and you have to to up to 40 to get it to shift and then slow down. Replaced vacuum lines...

24v to glow plugs, 60G's still ok?

Card is toast, but the push button system is up and running. Getting 24v to plugs. Do I need to buy a new resistor bank or are the 60G's ok with that much voltage?

GPs getting voltage, relay disconnected, also won't start

The troubleshooting continues. The controller card is bad so I wired a momentary switch to get this thing going after I replaced the radiator. Truck wouldn't start at all, so I started probing around and found that the glow plugs are getting voltage any time the key is in the run position...

    GP relay not staying on???

Wait to start light was burnt out, but I heard the relay clunk when I turned the key on, so I thought it was cycling the glow plugs. I just waited ten seconds or so then cranked it over. Now that the bulb has been replaced, the clunk is when the light turns OFF. It momentary lights up as I...

Of course the kit I have doesn't have the right thread adapter. Anybody know a good source for a long M16x1.5 bolt to make my own? No luck with Fastenal. AAAAARGH.

Anybody need a M1009 radio mount?

I'm taking mine out before somebody gets hurt back there. Figured maybe one of you guys might need one. Pick it up or pay shipping. Or maybe trade for some spare parts.

Ok I bought it, now for the fun......

Truck (M1009) runs out great for the most part. I did notice the crank pulley "wobbling" this morning. I guess it's time for a damper. I was wondering how the heck PFC Snuffy managed to bend the crank pulley until I read a damper thread. Trans doesn't want to shift into third until 40-45...

    Worth checking out?

I've been wanting a 1008 for a while, but a 1009 came up for sale within driving distance. It has been titled and owner says it runs/drives good but needs glow plugs. Asking $2800 but I'm thinking a little less due to rust and dented door, though he says the floor is solid. 49k miles and...
