Former Airport rescue Truck I just picked up. 1988 V3500. Has an NSN number but not a CUCV obviously. Pretty complete. Only needed batteries and a starter to run.
If you keep your eyes open there are some bargains here and there. Got this one for $500 (total) at auction. Graterford Pa. Prison truck, been sitting for a while but came with a title.
I have a similar truck (M1028a2) that runs, drives and is inspected with similar mileage and also rust free. If all you truck needs is a transmission and some paint I'd say its worth $10,000 in today's market.
Took my 85 year old Mom as a passenger in the Doylestown, Pa. Memorial Day parade monday. My late father was a veteran of the Korean war, he would have appreciated it.
ALL CUCV duallys are conversions. M1028a2s were converted from M1031s and have an NP205. M1028a3s were converted from M1028s and have NP208s. Both have Dana 70 rear ends. I've had my M1028a2 ten years now.
