Pictures would be awesome. I have several people in the family who have a hard time getting in the back. My solution for the time being, which I stole the idea from my brother in law, is use a 8 foot aluminum a-frame step ladder pushed up against the truck.

Yeah, I have done some searches and looked at replacing the handles. My first step will be to remove the handles and see if it is the mechanism or just the handle. I'm not thinking it is the mechanism because the handle inside the cab works fine, it's just the outside handle that doesn't work.
